Linezolid Side Effects Report #5203860-X
Linezolid side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Jan 05, 2007. Male patient, 54 years of age, weighting 174.2 lb, was diagnosed with wound infection and was treated with Linezolid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: leukopenia, wound debridement. Linezolid dosage: 600 MG PO Q12H. During the same period patient was treated with MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL, TACROLIMUS, PREDNISONE, VALGANCICLOVIR, NYSTATIN, CHLORHEXIDINE, INSULIN. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: disease progression, haemoglobin decreased, leukopenia, multi-organ failure, pneumonia , septic shock, serratia infection, thrombocytopenia. Linezolid dosage: 1200 MG (600 MG, 2 IN 1 D), INTRAVENOUS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 03/03/2005.
