Linezolid side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Aug 01, 2005. Male patient, 82 years of age, weighting 153.7 lb, was diagnosed with enterococcal infection and was treated with Linezolid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cholecystitis, enterococcal infection, heparin-induced thrombocytopenia. Linezolid dosage: 600 MG BID PO. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: enterococcal infection, malnutrition, neoplasm malignant, pancytopenia, sepsis . Linezolid dosage: 600 MG BID PO. During the same period patient was treated with SUNITINIB. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aggression, candidiasis, disorientation, enterococcal infection, hallucination, mental status changes, muscle contractions involuntary, serotonin syndrome, speech disorder. Linezolid dosage: 600 MG BID PO. During the same period patient was treated with SERTRALINE, MYFORTIC, NEXIUM, PROGRAF, ZOLOFT, BACTRIM DS, AMOXICILLIN. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: endocarditis , enterococcal infection, mental status changes, renal failure acute, thrombocytopenia, urosepsis. Linezolid dosage: 600MG Q 12 H INTRAVENOU. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dysarthria, enterococcal infection, hypotension, mental status changes, pyrexia, somnolence, speech disorder, tachycardia, thought blocking. Linezolid dosage: 600 MG Q12HR IV. During the same period patient was treated with MIRTAZAPINE, CEFTAZIDIME, AZITHROMYCIN, ASCORBIC ACID, METHOCARBAMOL, DOCUSATE. Patient recovered.
