Linezolid Side Effects Report #4718312-0
Linezolid side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on July 18, 2005. Male patient, 64 years of age, weighting 156.0 lb, was diagnosed with pneumonia , depression  and was treated with Linezolid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: confusional state, loss of consciousness, myoclonus, restlessness. Linezolid dosage: 600 MG Q12H IV. During the same period patient was treated with FLUOXETINE. Patient recovered.

Linezolid side effect was reported by a Physician from on Mar 07, 2005. Male patient, 81 years of age, was diagnosed with osteomyelitis, ill-defined disorder and was treated with Linezolid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, cardiac arrest , cardiac ventricular disorder, confusional state, hypertension, lactic acidosis, liver disorder, mental status changes. Linezolid dosage: 1200 MG (600 MG, BID). During the same period patient was treated with CITALOPRAM, PREDNISONE, METHOTREXATE, DIGOXIN, GLYCERYL TRINITRATE, DORASEMIDE, INSULIN, OXAZEPAM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

During the same period patient was treated with CYCLOBENZAPRINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, blood pressure increased, confusional state, headache , heart rate increased, refusal of treatment by patient, somnolence. Linezolid dosage: 600 MG IV BID. During the same period patient was treated with MIRTAZAPINE, APAP, ERYTHROMYCIN, HYDROCORTISONE, LORAZEPAM, MEROPENEM. Patient recovered.

Linezolid dosage: 1200 MG (DAILY), ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with DEXCHLORPHENIRAMINE MALEATE, ACENOCOUMAROL, FUROSEMIDE, ALLOPURINOL, DIGOXIN, AMOXICILLIN TRIHYDRATE, GENTAMICIN, TEICOPLANIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
