Linezolid Side Effects Report #5144945-6
Linezolid side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Oct 23, 2006. Male patient, 65 years of age, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection enterococcal, renal transplant and was treated with Linezolid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chills, haemoglobin decreased, pancytopenia, platelet count decreased, pollakiuria, reticulocyte count decreased, tongue discolouration, urinary tract infection enterococcal. Linezolid dosage: 600 MG, BID. During the same period patient was treated with TACROLIMUS, PREDNISONE, SULFAMETHOXAZOLE, VALGANCICLOVIR, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arthralgia, bradycardia, cardiac arrest What is  cardiac arrest, chills, hypotension, hypoxia, infusion related reaction, loss of consciousness. Linezolid dosage: 1200 MG (600 MG, BID INTERVAL: Q 12 H), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with RANITIDINE, DIPYRONE, ALPRAZOLAM, HEPARIN, OCTREOTIDE ACETATE, METOCLOPRAMINE, LOPERAMIDE. Patient died on 04/06/2005.

Patient died on 04/06/2005.

Linezolid dosage: 600 MG (600 MG, 1 IN 1 D), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with BACTRIM, VANCOMYCIN, FUSIDATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
