Linezolid Side Effects Report #4913526-9
Linezolid side effect was reported by a Physician from POLAND on Apr 07, 2005. Female patient, 19 years of age, weighting 114.6 lb, was diagnosed with pneumonia , sepsis  and was treated with Linezolid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, blood sodium decreased, clostridial infection, hepatosplenomegaly, lymphocyte percentage decreased, neutrophil percentage increased, protein total decreased, prothrombin time prolonged, spastic paralysis. Linezolid dosage: 1200 MG (600 MG, BID), ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with LINEZOLID SOLUTION, MEROPENEM, VANCOMYCIN, OMEPRAZOLE, PIRACETAM, BROMHEXINE HYDROCHLORIDE, DESMOPRESSIN ACETATE, TETRAZEPAM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 50 years of age, weighting 176.4 lb, was diagnosed with catheter related infection and was treated with Linezolid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood potassium decreased, blood sodium decreased, condition aggravated, platelet count decreased, red blood cell count decreased, renal failure, retroperitoneal haemorrhage, shock. Linezolid dosage: 1200 MG (600 MG, 2 IN 1 D), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ASPIRIN, SIMVASTATIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: angiosclerosis, arteriosclerosis, blood potassium decreased, blood sodium decreased, bronchopneumonia, condition aggravated, dermatomyositis, hypertension, multi-organ failure. Linezolid dosage: 1200 MG (600 MG, 2 IN 1 D), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ASPIRIN, SIMVASTATIN, ACETAMINOPHEN, MORPHINE, ACTOCORTINA, AMIODARONE, OMEPRAZOLE, DOPAMINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 50 years of age, weighting 176.4 lb, was diagnosed with catheter related infection and was treated with Linezolid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaplastic large cell lymphoma t- and null-cell types, arteriosclerosis, blood potassium decreased, blood sodium decreased, bronchopneumonia, condition aggravated, dialysis , multi-organ failure, nephroangiosclerosis. Linezolid dosage: 1200 MG (600 MG, 2 IN 1 D); INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ASPIRIN, SIMVASTATIN, PARACETAMOL, MORPHINE, ACTOCORTINA, AMIODARONE, OMEPRAZOLE, DOPAMINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 02/21/2005.

Patient died on 02/21/2005.
