Linezolid Side Effects Report #5592981-8
Linezolid side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Jan 14, 2008. Male patient, weighting 35.27 lb, was diagnosed with spinal fusion surgery and was treated with Linezolid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure increased, body temperature increased, flushing. Linezolid dosage: 160 MG X1 IV. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 25 years of age, weighting 169.8 lb, was diagnosed with infection , depression  and was treated with Linezolid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, blood pressure increased, confusional state, headache , heart rate increased, refusal of treatment by patient, somnolence. Linezolid dosage: 600 MG IV BID. During the same period patient was treated with MIRTAZAPINE, APAP, ERYTHROMYCIN, HYDROCORTISONE, LORAZEPAM, MEROPENEM. Patient recovered.

Linezolid dosage: 1200 MG (600 MG, 2 IN 1 D), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with METOPROLOL TARTRATE, CEFOTAXIME, AMIKACIN, METRONIDAZOLE, CEFOPERAZONE, SULBACTAM, PANTOPRAZOLE, DIAZEPAM. Patient recovered.
