Lidocaine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on Dec 19, 2006. Male patient, 76 years of age, was diagnosed with ventricular arrhythmia and was treated with Lidocaine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: accidental overdose, arteriosclerosis coronary artery, brain oedema, cardiac arrest , endocardial disease, grand mal convulsion, hypoxic encephalopathy, incorrect dose administered. Lidocaine dosage: 500 MG; ONCE; IV. Patient died.
