Levofloxacin Side Effects Report #5055855-7
Levofloxacin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on July 18, 2006. Male patient, 75 years of age, weighting 184.1 lb, was diagnosed with respiratory tract infection, atrial fibrillation  and was treated with Levofloxacin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: clostridium difficile colitis, international normalised ratio increased, nausea , pneumonia , staphylococcal infection . Levofloxacin dosage: 500 MG QD PO. During the same period patient was treated with WARFARIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, hypotension, hypoxia, pneumonia . Levofloxacin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ACETAMINOPHEN, ATENOLOL, TAMSULOSINE, PANTOPRAZOLE, ENOXAPARINE, MORPHINE, PIRITRAMIDE, PIPERACILLINE. Patient died on 12/16/2004.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac disorder, cardio-respiratory arrest, electrocardiogram qt prolonged, hypoperfusion, laboratory test abnormal, pneumonia , pneumonia aspiration, pyrexia, renal failure acute. Levofloxacin dosage: 750 MG EVERY DAY IV. During the same period patient was treated with CITALOPRAM HYDROBROMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
