Levetiracetam Side Effects Report #5485645-2
Levetiracetam side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED KINGDOM on Sept 25, 2007. Female patient, child 7 years of age, weighting 59.30 lb, was diagnosed with partial seizures and was treated with Levetiracetam. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, anxiety , muscle twitching, somnolence, tearfulness, tic . Levetiracetam dosage: 700 MG 2/D PO. During the same period patient was treated with VALPROATE. Patient recovered.

Levetiracetam side effect was reported by a Physician from GERMANY on Dec 20, 2005. Male patient, 79 years of age, weighting 165.3 lb, was diagnosed with epilepsy  and was treated with Levetiracetam. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, constipation , diarrhoea, dyspepsia, somnolence. Levetiracetam dosage: 250 MG 2.D; PO. During the same period patient was treated with TEGRETOL. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: coordination abnormal, depressed level of consciousness, somnolence. Levetiracetam dosage: 500 MG 2/D PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with CLONAZEPAM, VITAMIN D. Patient recovered.

Levetiracetam dosage: 1000 MG,BID, PO. During the same period patient was treated with SIMVASTATIN, RISPERIDONE, ALBUTEROL, CITALOPRAM HYDROBROMIDE, DIVALPROEX, FOLIC ACID, HEPARIN, IPRATROPIUM BROMIDE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, eating disorder , peripheral coldness, skin discolouration, somnolence, tremor, vomiting. Levetiracetam dosage: 500 MG 2/D PO. During the same period patient was treated with RISPERIDONE, VALPROATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
