Levetiracetam Side Effects Report #4928203-8
Levetiracetam side effect was reported by a Physician from MEXICO on Feb 08, 2006. Female patient, 13 years of age, weighting 27.78 lb, was diagnosed with epilepsy  and was treated with Levetiracetam. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: pneumonia . Levetiracetam dosage: 250 MG/2/D PO. During the same period patient was treated with MAGNESIUM VALPROATE, LAMOTRIGINE, TOPIRAMATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 86 years of age, weighting 66.14 lb, was diagnosed with convulsion and was treated with Levetiracetam. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: pneumonia , respiratory distress. Levetiracetam dosage: 500 MG THREE IV. During the same period patient was treated with DIAZEPAM, RIVOTRIL, CEFTRIAXONE, ACETAMINOPHEN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 11/01/2006.

Levetiracetam dosage: 500 MG ONCE PO. During the same period patient was treated with FENITOINA, FAMODIN, PLAVIX, ALBUMIN, ANTIHYPERTENSIVES, ANTIBIOTIC. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 12/12/2007.
