Levetiracetam Side Effects Report #5085074-X
Levetiracetam side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from NETHERLANDS on Dec 15, 2005. Male patient, 68 years of age, weighting 189.6 lb, was diagnosed with epilepsy  and was treated with Levetiracetam. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aortic stenosis, benign prostatic hyperplasia, cardiac arrest , cardiac disorder, cardiac failure, dysuria, haematuria. Levetiracetam dosage: 500 MG/D. During the same period patient was treated with AMARYL, NORVASC, SELEKTINE, METFORMIN, TRIAMTERENE, XATRAL. Patient died on 10/07/2005.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac arrest , hallucination, pneumonia , speech disorder, stevens-johnson syndrome, stupor. Levetiracetam dosage: 500 MG ONCE PO. During the same period patient was treated with FENITOINA, FAMODIN, PLAVIX, ALBUMIN, ANTIHYPERTENSIVES, ANTIBIOTIC. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 12/12/2007.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: akinesia, cardiac arrest , cardiac ventricular disorder, cardiomyopathy , creatine phosphokinase decreased, electrocardiogram qt corrected interval prolonged, electrocardiogram t wave inversion, myocardial ischaemia, torsade de pointes. Levetiracetam dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CETIRIZINE W, MONTELUKAST. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
