Leflunomide side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Feb 24, 2009. Female patient, 81 years of age, weighting 171.0 lb, was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis  and was treated with Leflunomide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dyspnoea, fatigue, hypoxia, interstitial lung disease, malaise, weight decreased. Leflunomide dosage: 20MG DAILY PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 76 years of age, weighting 162.0 lb, was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis  and was treated with Leflunomide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: epistaxis, faeces discoloured, fatigue, haemoglobin decreased, liver function test abnormal, nausea , pancytopenia, platelet count decreased. Leflunomide dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with METHOTREXATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, bronchopneumonia, cardiac failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cytomegalovirus infection , electrocardiogram p pulmonale, fatigue, hepatic function abnormal. Leflunomide dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CYCLOSPORINE, METHOTREXATE, PREDNISOLONE, STEROIDS NOS, STEROIDS NOS, SULFASALAZINE. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alveolitis allergic, atelectasis, chest pain , decreased appetite, fatigue, fungal infection , ill-defined disorder. Leflunomide dosage: 20 MG. During the same period patient was treated with METHOTREXATE, ETODOLAC, RANITIDINE, ACETAMINOPHEN, NIFEDIPINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
