Labetalol side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED KINGDOM on Aug 31, 2007. Female patient, 48 years of age, was diagnosed with hypertension and was treated with Labetalol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bradycardia, cardiac arrest , no therapeutic response. Labetalol dosage: 5 MG, INTRAVENOUS; 10 MG/H, INFUSION. During the same period patient was treated with PHENOXYBENZAMINE, METOPROLOL TARTRATE, PROPOFOL, MIDAZOLAM, FENTANYL, VECURONIUM BROMIDE, BUPIVACAINE, MAGNESIUM. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardio-respiratory arrest, hypotension, loss of consciousness, no therapeutic response, vomiting. Labetalol dosage: 40 MG Q8H IV. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: haemolytic uraemic syndrome, no therapeutic response, pulmonary embolism , thrombocytopenia. Labetalol dosage: 1,5 MG/KG;QD. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISOLONE, FUROSEMIDE, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, SPIRONOLACTONE, PENICILLIN V, IMMUNE GLOBULIN INTRAVENOUS, LOSARTAN, RAMIPRIL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
