Ketoconazole side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on May 02, 2008. Male patient, 70 years of age, weighting 229.3 lb, was diagnosed with prostate cancer
and was treated with Ketoconazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cough, diarrhoea, pyrexia, vomiting. Ketoconazole dosage: 400MG TID PO. During the same period patient was treated with COUMADIN, VITAMIN E, REMERON, HYDROCORTISONE, LEUPROLIDE ACETATE, AMARYL. Patient was hospitalized. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: computerised tomogram thorax abnormal, cough, crepitations, dyspnoea, hypoxia, lung infiltration, pneumocystis jiroveci pneumonia, pyrexia. Ketoconazole dosage: 200 MG, BID. During the same period patient was treated with GLUCOCORTICOIDS, METYRAPONE. Patient recovered.
