Kayexalate side effect was reported by a Physician from on Nov 22, 2004. Male patient, 79 years of age, was diagnosed with hyperkalaemia and was treated with Kayexalate. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, diarrhoea, gastrointestinal necrosis. Kayexalate dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with SORBITOL, ALBUTEROL, IPRATROPIUM BROMIDE, TRIAMCINOLONE, WARFARIN, METOPROLOL SUCCINATE, SIMVASTATIN, ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID SRT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
