Kayexalate side effect was reported by a Physician from FRANCE on Sept 05, 2002. Male patient, weighting 114.6 lb, was diagnosed with hyperkalaemia and was treated with Kayexalate. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: colitis ischaemic, fungal infection What is  fungal infection, gastrointestinal necrosis, haemoglobin decreased, large intestine perforation, multi-organ failure, peritoneal haemorrhage, pseudomonas infection, septic shock. Kayexalate dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with HYDROXIDE D, NOCTRAN, BRONILIDE, SEREVENT, ATARAX, MEDROL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 10/19/2001.
