Janumet and aspartate aminotransferase increased Patient Reports February 12, 2012

Janumet Side Effects Report #5511985-4
Janumet side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Nov 01, 2007. Male patient, 57 years of age, weighting 198.4 lb, was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus, gout  and was treated with Janumet. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, erythema multiforme, hyperglycaemia, hyponatraemia, oral candidiasis, renal failure acute, stevens-johnson syndrome, tendon rupture. Janumet dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ALLOPURINOL, LOVASTATIN, ZESTRIL, ASPIRIN. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 47 years of age, weighting 302.0 lb, was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension, lipids, gastrooesophageal reflux disease and was treated with Janumet. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, oedema peripheral, pain in extremity, skin discolouration, weight increased. Janumet dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with AVANDIA, DIOVAN HCT, ZOCOR, PREVACID, METFORMIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
