Ixempra side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Dec 21, 2007. Male patient, 59 years of age, weighting 187.4 lb, was diagnosed with prostate cancer  and was treated with Ixempra. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, anaemia, cardio-respiratory arrest, febrile neutropenia, hypocalcaemia, hypokalaemia, prostate infection, renal failure. Ixempra dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with MITOXANTRONE, PREDNISONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 11/18/2007.

Ixempra dosage: 40 MG/M2 INITIAL DOSE OVER 3 HOURS IV DRIP; REDUCED DOSE BEFORE ADMISSION. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
