Iron side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Oct 03, 2007. Female patient, 61 years of age, weighting 158.7 lb, was diagnosed with iron deficiency anaemia and was treated with Iron. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , back pain , chest pain , dizziness , hypotension, infusion related reaction, nausea , syncope. Iron dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with SPIRONOLACTONE, FUROSEMIDE, ZOLPIDEM TARTRATE, NADOLOL, ACETAMINOPHEN. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: feeling hot, flushing, heart rate increased, infusion related reaction, nausea . Iron dosage: 25MG ONCE IV. During the same period patient was treated with IRON DEXTRAN, IRON DEXTRAN, DARBOPOETIN ALFA, FOLIC ACID, CYANOCOBALAMIN, OXYCODONE, PROMETHAZINE, HYDROMORPHONE. Patient recovered.

Iron dosage: 500 MG QWEEK IV. Patient died on 06/23/2008.
