Iron Side Effects Report #5409598-8
Iron side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Aug 07, 2007. Male patient, 43 years of age, weighting 170.0 lb, was diagnosed with microcytic anaemia and was treated with Iron. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardio-respiratory arrest, chest discomfort, cold sweat, hypotension, infusion related reaction, nervousness, pruritus, somnolence, unresponsive to stimuli. Iron dosage: 1000MG ONCE IV. During the same period patient was treated with OMEPRAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 82 years of age, weighting 119.0 lb, was diagnosed with iron deficiency anaemia and was treated with Iron. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bradycardia, cardio-respiratory arrest, hyperhidrosis, hypotension, rash What is  rash, somnolence. Iron dosage: 500MG X1 IV. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardio-respiratory arrest, dyspnoea. Iron dosage: 25MG IV X 1. During the same period patient was treated with TYLENOL W, ZOLOFT, VITAMIN AND MINERAL PRENATAL SUPPLEMENT W, AMBIEN, DOCUSATE, MILK OF MAG, ANUSOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaphylactic reaction, cardio-respiratory arrest, confusional state, diarrhoea, hyperhidrosis, nausea What is  nausea, oxygen saturation decreased, pallor, respiratory depression. Iron dosage: 500 MG QWEEK IV. Patient died on 06/23/2008.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaphylactic reaction, cardio-respiratory arrest, loss of consciousness, respiratory distress, swelling face. Iron dosage: 50MG QWEEK IV. Patient died on 03/06/2007.
