Iodixanol side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Dec 16, 2008. Male patient, 59 years of age, was diagnosed with surgery , cardiac failure congestive and was treated with Iodixanol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac failure, contrast media reaction, mitral valve incompetence, nephritis, renal tubular necrosis. Iodixanol dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with HETASTARCH IN CHLORIDE PLASTIC CONTAINER. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, contrast media reaction, renal failure acute. Iodixanol dosage: 150ML ONCE IV BOLUS. During the same period patient was treated with PIPERCILLIN, VANCOMYCIN, ESOMEPRAZOLE MAGNESIUM, LEVOTHYROXINE, ACETAMINOPHEN, ASPIRIN, SENNA, DOCUSATE. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.
