Iodine Side Effects Report #4781289-6
Iodine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Sept 26, 2005. Male patient, 81 years of age, weighting 198.4 lb, was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism , hip arthroplasty and was treated with Iodine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute prerenal failure, candidiasis, confusional state, contrast media reaction, dialysis , dyspnoea, multi-organ disorder, nephropathy, pneumonia . Iodine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with GENTAMICIN, CEFIPIME, DILTIAZEM, WARFARIN, BACTRIM, OMEPRAZOLE, FUROSEMIDE, METOPROLOL. Patient died on 06/24/2005.

Iodine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Jan 06, 2009. Female patient, 33 years of age, weighting 148.0 lb, was diagnosed with computerised tomogram and was treated with Iodine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthma , blood pressure decreased, contrast media reaction, dyspnoea, fall , feeling abnormal, gastrointestinal pain, hyperventilation, injection site anaesthesia. Iodine dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.
