Invirase and lactic acidosis Patient Reports February 11, 2012

Invirase Side Effects Report #5685033-X
Invirase side effect was reported by a Physician from ITALY on July 21, 1998. Female patient, 53 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection  and was treated with Invirase. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: lactic acidosis. Invirase dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ZERIT, EPIVIR, BACTRIM, LASIX. Patient died.

Invirase side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Mar 18, 1999. Male patient, 35 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection  and was treated with Invirase. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bile duct stone, condition aggravated, hepatic function abnormal, hepatitis c , lactic acidosis, renal failure acute, sepsis . Invirase dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with EPIVIR, ZERIT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, weighting 154.3 lb, was diagnosed with cd4 lymphocytes decreased, hiv infection  and was treated with Invirase. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aspartate aminotransferase increased, atrial fibrillation , blood alkaline phosphatase increased, hepatic failure, jaundice , lactic acidosis, liver function test abnormal, nausea , sepsis . Invirase dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ZALCITABINE, ZIDOVUDINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 10/14/1997.

During the same period patient was treated with VIREAD, SUSTIVA, NORVIR, VIDEX, EPIVIR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
