Intralipid Side Effects Report #4556528-7
Intralipid side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on Sept 17, 2004. Female patient, child 2 years of age, weighting 28.66 lb, was diagnosed with volvulus of bowel and was treated with Intralipid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bacterial sepsis, fungal sepsis, hepatic failure, infusion site infection, pancreatitis. Intralipid dosage: 14 ML/ 1 DASILY/ INTRAVENOUS INF. During the same period patient was treated with DEXTROSE, TRAVASOL, VITAMIN C, HEPARIN, LEVOCARNITINE. Patient recovered.
