Imipenem and cardiopulmonary failure Patient Reports February 13, 2012

Imipenem Side Effects Report #5104647-9
Imipenem side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UKRAINE on Sept 04, 2006. Male patient, 66 years of age, was diagnosed with pneumonia  and was treated with Imipenem. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure decreased, cardiopulmonary failure, multi-organ failure, oedema, urine output decreased. Imipenem dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with AMBROXOL, NIMESULIDE, QUAMATEL, ASCORUTIN. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure decreased, cardiopulmonary failure, multi-organ failure, oedema, urine output decreased. Imipenem dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VANCOMYCIN, AMBROXOL, NIMESULIDE, QUAMATEL, ASCORUTIN. Patient died.

Male patient, weighting 172.0 lb, was diagnosed with pneumonia , gastritis, productive cough and was treated with Imipenem. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiopulmonary failure. Imipenem dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VANCOMYCIN HYDROCHLORIDE, QUAMATEL, ASCORUTIN, AMBROXOL, NIMESULIDE. Patient died on 09/03/2006.
