Idursulfase Side Effects Report #5374125-0
Idursulfase side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from JAPAN on June 20, 2007. Male patient, 42 years of age, weighting 103.6 lb, was diagnosed with mucopolysaccharidosis ii and was treated with Idursulfase. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: depressed level of consciousness, headache , hypotension, nausea , pulse pressure decreased, yawning. Idursulfase dosage: (0.5 MG/KG, 1 IN 1 WK), INTRAVENOUS DRIP. During the same period patient was treated with VERAPAMIL, OMEPRAZOLE, ASPIRIN, DIGOXIN, TORSEMIDE, PIMOBENDAN, LEVOTHYROXINE, HYDROCORTISONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood immunoglobulin e increased, depressed level of consciousness, headache , hypotension, infusion related reaction, nausea , pulse pressure decreased, shock. Idursulfase dosage: (0.5 MG/KG, 1 IN 1WK), INTRAVENOUS DRIP. During the same period patient was treated with VERAPAMIL, OMEPRAZOLE, ASPIRIN, DIGOXIN, TORSEMIDE, PIMOBENDAN, LEVOTHYROXINE, HYDROCORTISONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 17 years of age, weighting 83.78 lb, was diagnosed with mucopolysaccharidosis ii and was treated with Idursulfase. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac arrest , cardiac failure congestive, hypotension, pulmonary oedema. Idursulfase dosage: (21 MG, 1 IN 1 WK), INTRAVENOUS DRIP. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 08/04/2007.
