Idarubicin Side Effects Report #5974200-3
Idarubicin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Nov 14, 2008. Male patient, 41 years of age, was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukaemia and was treated with Idarubicin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia, haemoglobin decreased, neutrophil count decreased, platelet count decreased, refusal of treatment by patient, white blood cell count decreased. Idarubicin dosage: 12MG/M2 PER DAY IV BOLUS, DAYS 1,2,4,6, AND 8. During the same period patient was treated with MITOXANTRONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Idarubicin side effect was reported by a Physician from ITALY on Sept 09, 2005. Female patient was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukaemia and was treated with Idarubicin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia, disease recurrence, gene mutation identification test positive, myelodysplastic syndrome, refractory anaemia with an excess of blasts. Idarubicin dosage: 5 MG/M2 (CYCLICAL), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ETOPOSIDE, CYTARABINE, MITOXANTRONE. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia, ill-defined disorder, transplant. Idarubicin dosage: 5 MG/M2 (CYCLICAL), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ETOPOSIDE, CYTARABINE, MITOXANRONE. Patient died.
