Idarubicin side effect was reported by a Health Professional from AUSTRALIA on Sept 19, 2006. Female patient, 59 years of age, weighting 189.6 lb, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia and was treated with Idarubicin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, atrial fibrillation What is  atrial fibrillation, blood potassium increased, blood pressure systolic increased, bradycardia, bradypnoea, cardiac arrest What is  cardiac arrest, cardio-respiratory arrest, dyspnoea. Idarubicin dosage: (17 MG, 1 IN 1 D), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ETOPOSIDE, CYTARABINE, ALLOPURINOL, TROPISETRON, LORAZEPAM, METOPROLOL, SERTRALINE, OMEPRAZOLE. Patient died on 09/15/2006.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain What is  abdominal pain, acidosis, acidosis hyperchloraemic, acute pulmonary oedema, atelectasis, atrial fibrillation What is  atrial fibrillation, blood pressure decreased, cardio-respiratory arrest, diarrhoea. Idarubicin dosage: UNK (9 MG/M2, 1 IN 1 D); INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ETOPOSIDE, CYTARABINE, FILGRASTIM, IRBESARTAN, FLUCONAZOLE, VALACYCLOVIR, TAZOCIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/27/2006.

Idarubicin dosage: 19 MG (19 MG, CYCLICAL - DAILY), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ETOPOSIDE, CYTARABINE. Patient died on 09/10/2005.
