Idarubicin and abdominal pain Patient Reports February 12, 2012



Idarubicin Side Effects Report #4927947-1
Idarubicin side effect was reported by a Health Professional from AUSTRALIA on Feb 17, 2006. Female patient, 58 years of age, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia, neutropenia and was treated with Idarubicin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain What is  abdominal pain, acidosis, acidosis hyperchloraemic, acute pulmonary oedema, atelectasis, atrial fibrillation What is  atrial fibrillation, blood pressure decreased, cardio-respiratory arrest, diarrhoea. Idarubicin dosage: UNK (9 MG/M2, 1 IN 1 D); INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ETOPOSIDE, CYTARABINE, FILGRASTIM, IRBESARTAN, FLUCONAZOLE, VALACYCLOVIR, TAZOCIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/27/2006.

Idarubicin dosage: 12 MG/M2 (31 MG) IN 50 ML D5W IVPB OVER 1 HOUR DAILY FOR 3 DAYS ON DAYS 1, 2, AND 3. During the same period patient was treated with CYTARABINE. Patient recovered.

Idarubicin dosage: 12MG/M2 IV OVER 1 HR. QD ON DAYS 1, 2, AND 3. During the same period patient was treated with CYTARABINE, LEVOFLOXACIN, ONDANSETRON, VALACYCLOVIR, VANCOMYCIN, VORICONAZOLE, CEFEPIME. Patient recovered.
