Hydroxyurea Side Effects Report #6043683-5
Hydroxyurea side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Jan 13, 2009. Female patient, 84 years of age, was diagnosed with thrombocythaemia and was treated with Hydroxyurea. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: pancytopenia, thrombocytopenia. Hydroxyurea dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ASPIRIN. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, blood creatine increased, depressed level of consciousness, haemodynamic instability, hypoaesthesia, hypotension, hypoxia, pancytopenia, tachypnoea. Hydroxyurea dosage: (500 MG BID ORAL), (1 G BID ORAL). During the same period patient was treated with ASPIRIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

and was treated with Hydroxyurea. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: haematocrit decreased, pancytopenia, white blood cell count abnormal. Hydroxyurea dosage: 500MG PO TID. During the same period patient was treated with TOPIRAMATE, METOPROLOL, CITALOPRAM, MIRTAZAPINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
