Hydroxyurea side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on Jan 28, 2005. Male patient, 83 years of age, weighting 184.1 lb, was diagnosed with thrombocythaemia and was treated with Hydroxyurea. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, asthenia, dyspnoea. Hydroxyurea dosage: 500 MG DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with NOVOLIN, FELODIPINE, LASIX, FOLIC ACID, POTASSIUM CHLORIDE, BRIMONIDINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abasia, agitation, anaemia, anxiety , asthenia, blood pressure decreased, confusional state, delusion. Hydroxyurea dosage: 500 MG, BID. During the same period patient was treated with CGP, DECADRON, DILANTIN, CLOBAZAM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 09/19/2006.
