Female patient, 40 years of age, weighting 230.0 lb, was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus and was treated with Hydroxychloroqui. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood bilirubin increased, jaundice , liver function test abnormal, pain , pericardial effusion, pleural effusion, urinary tract infection . Hydroxychloroqui dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac failure congestive, dyspnoea exertional, fatigue, jugular vein distension, oedema peripheral, pleural effusion, restrictive cardiomyopathy, retinopathy, weight increased. Hydroxychloroqui dosage: 100 - 200 MG TWICE DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE SULPHATE, PREDNISONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
