Hydroxychloroqui side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Sept 11, 2007. Female patient, 72 years of age, weighting 173.1 lb, was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis  and was treated with Hydroxychloroqui. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anorexia, asthenia, dyspnoea exertional, excessive granulation tissue, fungal skin infection, hypotension, laboratory test abnormal, pancytopenia, petechiae. Hydroxychloroqui dosage: 200MG DAILY PO. During the same period patient was treated with ARAVA. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 51 years of age, was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus and was treated with Hydroxychloroqui. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac failure congestive, dyspnoea exertional, fatigue, jugular vein distension, oedema peripheral, pleural effusion, restrictive cardiomyopathy, retinopathy, weight increased. Hydroxychloroqui dosage: 100 - 200 MG TWICE DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE SULPHATE, PREDNISONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aspergillosis, dysphonia, dyspnoea, dyspnoea exertional, hyporeflexia, lung disorder, muscular weakness, myopathy. Hydroxychloroqui dosage: 200 MG/DAY. During the same period patient was treated with SIMVASTATIN, LISINOPRIL, RALOXIFENE, DILTIAZEM. Patient died.
