After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chills, confusional state, hepatitis

Male patient, 66 years of age, was diagnosed with essential thrombocythaemia and was treated with Hydroxycarbamide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chills, confusional state, culture positive, granulomatous liver disease, incontinence, lethargy, pyrexia, renal failure acute. Hydroxycarbamide dosage: 1000 MG DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with ALLOPURINOL, VALPROATE. Patient recovered.
