Hydroxycarbamide side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from AUSTRALIA on June 18, 2008. Female patient, 68 years of age, was diagnosed with essential thrombocythaemia and was treated with Hydroxycarbamide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cholecystitis chronic, cholelithiasis, gallbladder cholesterolosis, hepatitis What is  hepatitis. Hydroxycarbamide dosage: 500 MG BD; TWO DOSES OF 500 MG BD (THREE MONTHS AFTER DISCHARGE) ; (A WEEK AFTER THE FIRST DISCONTIN. During the same period patient was treated with ATENOLOL, ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID SRT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
