Hycamtin Side Effects Report #5739173-7
Hycamtin side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on May 12, 2008. Male patient, 69 years of age, was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer limited stage and was treated with Hycamtin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dyspnoea, interstitial lung disease, respiratory failure. Hycamtin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with OXYCODONE HYDROCHLORIDE, PREDNISOLONE, CIPRALAN, AMLODIPINE BESILATE, VALSARTAN, ALLOPURINOL, LANSOPRAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 04/02/2008.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: diffuse alveolar damage, hypoxia, interstitial lung disease, lung injury, metastases to adrenals, metastases to heart, metastases to liver, polyp, recurrent cancer. Hycamtin dosage: 7 MG / SINGLE DOSE / INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with CARBOPLATIN, ETOPOSIDE, PREDNISONE. Patient died.

Hycamtin dosage: 1.6MG PER DAY. During the same period patient was treated with DEXAMETHASONE, ZOFRAN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
