Halfan Side Effects Report #5226122-3
Halfan side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from FRANCE on Jan 29, 2007. Female patient, 31 years of age, was diagnosed with malaria , malaria prophylaxis and was treated with Halfan. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia macrocytic, cardiac arrest , cardiac failure, hypotension, loss of consciousness, malaise, thrombocytopenia, torsade de pointes, ventricular tachycardia. Halfan dosage: 500MG THREE TIMES PER DAY. During the same period patient was treated with CHLOROQUINE, PROGUANIL. Patient died.

Female patient, 31 years of age, weighting 110.2 lb, was diagnosed with malaria , malaria prophylaxis and was treated with Halfan. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia macrocytic, blood pressure systolic decreased, cardiac arrest , cardiac failure, electrocardiogram qt prolonged, loss of consciousness, malaise, supraventricular tachycardia, thrombocytopenia. Halfan dosage: 1500MG PER DAY. During the same period patient was treated with NIVAQUINE, PALUDRINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 12/10/1993.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: fall , head injury, headache , loss of consciousness, pyrexia. Halfan dosage: unknown. Patient died.
