Glucobay side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from JAPAN on Dec 12, 2005. Male patient, 67 years of age, weighting 180.8 lb, was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus non-insulin-dependent and was treated with Glucobay. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aortic dilatation, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, blood creatine phosphokinase mb increased, blood pressure increased, contrast media reaction, coronary artery stenosis, dilatation ventricular, dyspnoea. Glucobay dosage: 100 MG, TOTAL, TID, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with KERLONG, BLOPRESS, MELBIN, AMLODIPINE BESYLATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 60 years of age, weighting 132.3 lb, was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus and was treated with Glucobay. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: amnesia, apathy, blood pressure increased, depressed level of consciousness, diarrhoea, feeling abnormal, glycosylated haemoglobin increased, hypoglycaemic coma, influenza like illness. Glucobay dosage: 300 MG, TOTAL DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with GLIMEPIRIDE, PANIPENEM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
