Glucobay and abdominal distension Patient Reports February 13, 2012

Glucobay Side Effects Report #6076531-8
Glucobay side effect was reported by a Physician from TAIWAN, PROVINCE OF CHINA on Feb 02, 2009. Male patient, 51 years of age, weighting 136.7 lb, was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, osteonecrosis  and was treated with Glucobay. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, asthenia, chills, chromaturia, hepatitis acute, hyperbilirubinaemia, jaundice , nausea , pyrexia. Glucobay dosage: UNIT DOSE: 50 MG. During the same period patient was treated with METFORMIN, OLMESARTAN MEDOXOMIL, BOKEY, FENOLIP, ADALAT, MELOXIN, NORFLEX, FOLIC ACID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Glucobay dosage: TOTAL DAILY DOSE: 150 MG UNIT DOSE: 50 MG. During the same period patient was treated with METFORMIN, OLMESARTAN MEDOXOMIL, BOKEY, FENOLIP, ADALAT, MELOXIN, NORFLEX. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Glucobay side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Mar 15, 2005. Female patient, 33 years of age, was diagnosed with obesity  and was treated with Glucobay. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, abdominal pain , agitation, ammonia increased, bacillus infection, blood pressure decreased, blood pressure systolic increased, brain oedema, cerebral ischaemia. Glucobay dosage: 10 MG, TOTAL, DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with HORDEUM VULGARE, ANTACYANOSIDES, ADLAC, INDER, SENOKOT, HORDEUM VULGARE. Patient died on 11/13/2004.

Glucobay side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Oct 06, 2008. Male patient, 75 years of age, weighting 183.0 lb, was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus and was treated with Glucobay. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, megacolon, subileus. Glucobay dosage: TOTAL DAILY DOSE: 300 MG UNIT DOSE: 100 MG. During the same period patient was treated with ATELEC, DIOVAN. Patient recovered.
