Glimepiride side effect was reported by a Physician from ITALY on Sept 29, 2008. Male patient, 55 years of age, weighting 216.1 lb, was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus and was treated with Glimepiride. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , blood amylase increased, cholecystectomy, cholelithiasis, lipase increased, pancreatitis acute. Glimepiride dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with METFORMIN, IRBESARTAN, SIMVASTATIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
