Gliclazide side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED KINGDOM on Oct 05, 2006. Male patient, 72 years of age, was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus non-insulin-dependent, myocardial ischaemia, epilepsy
, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hypercholesterolaemia and was treated with Gliclazide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aplastic anaemia, haemoglobin decreased, neutrophil count decreased, pancytopenia, platelet count decreased, white blood cell count decreased. Gliclazide dosage: 40 MG, QD. During the same period patient was treated with ZOPICLONE, ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID SRT, VALPROATE, SERETIDE, TIOTROPIUM, SIMVASTATIN, TEGRETOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 11/12/2006.
