Male patient, 41 years of age, weighting 278.0 lb, was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme and was treated with Gliadel. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: ascites, csf culture positive, pulmonary embolism , shunt malfunction, staphylococcal infection . Gliadel dosage: 7.7 MG PER WAFERMAX 8. During the same period patient was treated with DEPAKOTE, KEPPRA, DECADRON, ZANTAC. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
