Gentamicin Side Effects Report #4898703-8
Gentamicin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED KINGDOM on Jan 13, 2006. Female patient, 88 years of age, was diagnosed with pseudomonas infection, lower respiratory tract infection and was treated with Gentamicin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, clostridium colitis, lower respiratory tract infection, renal impairment. Gentamicin dosage: 240 MG; EVERY 36 HOURS. During the same period patient was treated with TRIMETHOPRIM, CEPHRADINE, CIPROFLOXACIN, AMOXICILLIN, ENOXAPARIN, ADCAL, ALENDRONIC ACID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 11/19/2005.
