Gentamicin side effect was reported by a Physician from TAIWAN, PROVINCE OF CHINA on Oct 09, 2006. Female patient, 35 years of age, was diagnosed with pyelonephritis acute and was treated with Gentamicin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bartter's syndrome, diplopia, electrocardiogram change, muscular weakness, paraesthesia, tetany. Gentamicin dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Gentamicin side effect was reported by a Physician from TAIWAN, PROVINCE OF CHINA on July 21, 2006. Female patient, 82 years of age, was diagnosed with liver abscess and was treated with Gentamicin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hypokalaemia, hypomagnesaemia, lethargy, metabolic alkalosis, muscular weakness, nocturia, paraesthesia, polyuria, pseudo-bartter syndrome. Gentamicin dosage: 3.2 MG/KG; EVERY DAY; IV. During the same period patient was treated with CEPHALOTHIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
