Gemfibrozil side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on Jan 06, 2005. Male patient, 62 years of age, was diagnosed with hypertriglyceridaemia and was treated with Gemfibrozil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain upper, back pain , fatigue, haematuria, mood altered, pyrexia, stomach discomfort, urinary tract infection . Gemfibrozil dosage: 600MG PO BID. During the same period patient was treated with OMEPRAZOLE, LOVASTATIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, haematuria, musculoskeletal pain. Gemfibrozil dosage: 600 MG BID ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with ZOCOR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Gemfibrozil dosage: 1200 MG (600 MG, 2 IN 1 D). During the same period patient was treated with SIMVASTATIN, CLOPIDOGREL BISULPHATE, PLAVIX, LISINOPRIL, ACTOS. Patient recovered.
