Gemfibrozil side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on Apr 15, 2005. Male patient, 52 years of age, weighting 160.0 lb, was diagnosed with hypertriglyceridaemia, hyperlipidaemia and was treated with Gemfibrozil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arthralgia, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, blood creatinine increased, blood urine present, fall , urinary tract infection . Gemfibrozil dosage: 600 MG, PO BID. During the same period patient was treated with LOVASTATIN, AMITRIPTYLINE, DOCUSATE, FELODIPINE, TRIAMTERENE AND HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, LISINOPRIL, METOPROLOL TARTRATE, OMEPRAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
