Gemfibrozil side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Sept 28, 2006. Male patient, 53 years of age, weighting 184.1 lb, was diagnosed with hypertriglyceridaemia, cellulitis  and was treated with Gemfibrozil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , chest pain , diarrhoea, faeces discoloured, gingival pain, nausea , oral intake reduced, rhabdomyolysis. Gemfibrozil dosage: 600MG DAILY PO. During the same period patient was treated with MOXIFLOXACIN, METFORMIN. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, chest pain , epigastric discomfort, myalgia. Gemfibrozil dosage: 600 MG PO BID. During the same period patient was treated with AMITRIPTYLINE, ATENOLOL, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, OMEPRAZOLE, SIMVASTATIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Gemfibrozil dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
