Gemfibrozil side effect was reported by a Physician from on Mar 30, 2005. Male patient, 39 years of age, weighting 149.9 lb, was diagnosed with ill-defined disorder and was treated with Gemfibrozil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, cholestasis, cytolytic hepatitis, cytomegalovirus antigen positive, pancytopenia. Gemfibrozil dosage: 450 MG (450 MG, 1 IN 1 D), ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISONE, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arthralgia, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, blood creatinine increased, blood urine present, fall , urinary tract infection . Gemfibrozil dosage: 600 MG, PO BID. During the same period patient was treated with LOVASTATIN, AMITRIPTYLINE, DOCUSATE, FELODIPINE, TRIAMTERENE AND HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, LISINOPRIL, METOPROLOL TARTRATE, OMEPRAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
