Gemfibrozil side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Sept 28, 2006. Male patient, 53 years of age, weighting 184.1 lb, was diagnosed with hypertriglyceridaemia, cellulitis  and was treated with Gemfibrozil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , chest pain , diarrhoea, faeces discoloured, gingival pain, nausea , oral intake reduced, rhabdomyolysis. Gemfibrozil dosage: 600MG DAILY PO. During the same period patient was treated with MOXIFLOXACIN, METFORMIN. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, chromaturia, muscular weakness. Gemfibrozil dosage: 600MG BID PO. During the same period patient was treated with SIMVASTATIN. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 40 years of age, weighting 191.0 lb, was diagnosed with blood cholesterol increased and was treated with Gemfibrozil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , arthralgia, blood cholesterol increased, chest pain , chills, dehydration, diarrhoea, influenza, nausea . Gemfibrozil dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
