Gefitinib side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Jan 24, 2005. Female patient, 60 years of age, was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer and was treated with Gefitinib. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, interstitial lung disease, lung infection, lymphangiosis carcinomatosa, malignant neoplasm progression, respiratory distress, respiratory failure. Gefitinib dosage: 250 MG DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with CARBOPLATIN, GEMCITABINE. Patient died.

Gefitinib dosage: 250 MG DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with CARBOPLATIN, GEMCITABINE. Patient died.

Gefitinib dosage: 250 MG QD PO. During the same period patient was treated with OMEPRAZOLE, PREDNISOLONE, MORPHINE SULPHATE, FLUOXETINE, DIFFLAM, GABAPENTIN, ADCAL, FLUTICASONE PROPIONATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 12/28/2004.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chest x-ray abnormal, diffuse alveolar damage, hypoxia, lower respiratory tract infection, pneumonia , respiratory failure, tachycardia. Gefitinib dosage: 250 MG QD PO. During the same period patient was treated with OMEPRAZOLE, PREDNISOLONE, FLUOXETINE, DIFFLAM, GABAPENTIN, ADCAL, FLUTICASONE PROPIONATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 12/28/2004.
